BRANDON CONKLIN | PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT | PARTNER
AIA | NCARB
Originally a classically trained musician, Brandon Conklin is a principal architect and partner at ARC Architecture. Using over a decade of experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM), he brings a methodical approach to the delivery of firm projects.
After earning a music degree from Oklahoma City University while working nights as a CNC machinist in the oil and gas industry, Brandon was still looking for something that utilized both his creativity and technical skills. Architecture was the perfect fit! He now holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the OU College of Architecture and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Brandon has traveled to three continents with his wife Ashley on gospel sharing missions and toured China with the OCU orchestra. If they can’t be on the ski slope together, then they will be enjoying time with their kids Lillian, Carson and Conner in the house they designed together.
Scott Mellgren | Project Manager
Scott has been with ARC since 2013, and is one the project managers. He’s provided service on multiple projects, including educational, commercial, and municipal facilities. His technical expertise and approach enable projects to move from master planning and the design concept to contract documents and into construction with momentum.
In his free time, Scott has raised two sons in Norman who are now attending Oklahoma universities. Scott’s interests in arts and culture are varied and constant. You can generally find him at local music shows, book clubs, at art collectives, and in Norman City Council meetings. He has had three distinct careers: a photographer, playing guitar and bass in local bands, and writing a young adult science fiction and several feature film scripts. He likes to say, “I don’t need anymore hobbies,” which is him being sarcastic… sort of.
